Auto Deep Dungeon v0.1

After a few weeks of tinkering, I finally have a playable prototype for Auto Deep Dungeon, name subject to change, is ready! It’s still rough, but the core idea is there, and I’d love for people to check it out and see how the concept feels in action.

The prototype is called Auto Deep Dungeon (working title), and it’s a mix of an autobattler and a real-time drafting roguelike. Inspired by Final Fantasy XIV’s Deep Dungeons, the goal is simple: start from the bottom and fight your way up through as many floors as you can. Each floor is packed with enemies — some tougher in raw stats, others with effects that linger over time and force you to adapt your strategy.

For this build, you can play as the Paladin, who comes with four abilities help you with survival. Along the way, certain enemies drop consumables that can make your run a little safer… or a lot faster.

This is the earliest playable build, which means your feedback can directly shape how the game grows from here. My goal is to make something easy to pick up and play, but with enough depth that mastery comes from learning the systems and enemy interactions. I want it to have a low barrier to entry, but a high skill ceiling.

If you enjoy games where success comes down to threat assessment and understanding enemy mechanics, then your thoughts and feedback will be especially valuable.

What I’d love most right now is this something you could get excited about something you want to try and beat if i had like 100 floors, a general proof of concept.

I know the game is still visually rough — part of the challenge for me was to see if I could make something engaging before layering on all the pretty bells and whistles. That said, I’ll keep adding just enough polish to better show the vision as development continues.

Next up on my list is a boss encounter at floor 10, along with another full floor set to climb. I’m also planning to add a second class so you’ll have a choice at the start of a run, more debuffs to keep you on your toes, and new enemy types for you to figure out mid-dungeon.

If you give the demo a try, I’d love to hear what you think! Leave a comment here on itch, hit follow if you want to keep up with updates, and if you’re up for it, fill out the feedback form below — every bit of input helps shape where this project goes next.
